PASS France Trip Overview

The Camp Project is designed to introduce you to the world of catamaran sailing, where you will learn the fundamental skills needed to navigate a catamaran. You will be taught how to prepare the boat, steer, adjust the settings, and execute basic manoeuvres. Additionally, you will gain knowledge of essential safety techniques and familiarize yourself with the terminology commonly used in sailing. 


7 days • Arrival 17 Aug - Departure 24 Aug •


1. Preparation of Materials and Safety Measures.

2. Foundation and safety manoeuvres.

3. Manoeuvring the catamaran on different courses while sailing around.

4. Introduction to key terminology, seamanship skills, charting, marine environment, and fundamental principles such as tides and weather.

Arriving at the camp-site

Welcome upon your arrival, introduction to the course, meeting the fellow participants, and familiarizing yourself with the catamaran.

Each day is dedicated to exploring different learning themes, focusing on the core elements of sailing such as sails, helm, and balance, with the addition of extra technical insights.

During the last part of the course, participants will focus on returning the boat to storage, cleaning up the site, and completing individual and group assessments.

Essential items to bring
  • sleeping bag.
  • pillow.
  • towel.
  • personalized water bottle.
  • Sunglasses with a strap.
  • cap.
  • Sunscreen.
  • A pair of sea gloves.
  • waterproof flashlight.
  • Toiletry products.
  • warm garment.
Specific course requirements:
  • complete waterproof suit pants and jacket (rental availability is not guaranteed).
  • Neoprene shoes and boots.
